AppliDis ezPrint (formerly AppliDis Universal Printer) has advanced universal printing functionalities. Whether via local or remote connection, centralised or virtualised architecture,
AppliDis ezPrint provides all of your staff with a simple and efficient print service.
As a result of its printer pilot virtualisation functionality, AppliDis ezPrint provides a universal driver which supports all types of printers:
a. B&W, colour ink-jet or laser printers,
b. PCL3, PCL4, PCL6 and PostScript printers
c. printer with paper tray management
• Unlimited control over all print settings (the settings supported by the destination printer)
• No need to install the local printer drivers on the application servers
• No need to configure redirection settings for TSE printers
• Print to either network or local printers with no restrictions
• Set default printers for users

Thanks to its universal EMF print format and its compression features, AppliDis ezPrint drastically reduces the size of the print files which pass between your application servers and your local printers.
The print flows can therefore be compressed into a zip or zlib format.
You can easily use AppliDis ezPrint’s advanced configuration options to specify a quality of service level and a print flow speed.

Setting the default speed
Using the Transfer tab, AppliDis ezPrint gives you the option of throttling the bandwidth used by print flow transfers between the applications server and the client workstation. You can set this speed at between 1 and 1,000 KB. This speed corresponds to the print flow passing through the RDP channel of the centralised session (Virtual Channels).

Setting the default speed by client zone
In the “Define rules” box, you can assign a maximum transfer speed based on the client’s zone (IP address). It allows you to add a set of IP networks to the list with the relevant transfer rate. Specify the network, the relevant rate and then click on “Add”. You can change the order of the selections by using the arrows or deleting an item on the list. The rules at the top of the list have priority.
AppliDis ezPrint allows you to resume print jobs that have stopped. When this setting is activated due to transfer failure or unexpected closure of the session, AppliDis ezPrint will retry to transfer the print job. In other cases, the print job is cancelled.
