Our technical teams

The technical component includes Research and Development, with engineer profiles in information technology development and in the domain of Production, covering support for our clients and partners, the provision of application updates, including the production of bug fixes and a team dedicated to providing high-level consulting services to assist our partners. Our support team consists of skilled experts able to assist clients and partners by delivering solutions in short timescales. They are now able to provide support in English as well as French, and in accordance with working hours dictated by our partnerships with international clients.

Sales teams

Notre activité nous permet d’adresser aussi bien des PME que des Grands Comptes ainsi qu’un ensemble de partenaires revendeurs et intégrateurs de notre solution. Our business methods enable us to work just as efficiently with SMEs as with large accounts or the network of partner resellers and integrators using our solution. The sales teams are segmented into a "Channel" team, which works alongside partners on new projects, and a "Large Accounts" team which deals with larger-sized companies at the European level.
The final component of this team is the pre-sales team, which operates at the day-to-day level. The task of a pre-sales engineer is to accompany sales engineers to meetings and, most importantly, perform on-site work for clients to demonstrate the value of the product using practical examples.

Marketing teams

Marketing plays a key role in the development of product strategy to suit various markets and audiences. Marketing staff deliver communication and advertising campaigns, prepare events (e.g. with partners) and provide information and promote our software product range.

Administration and back-office teams

Administration-related team positions are key to providing constant support for our teams. These cross-organisation roles bring together professions as different as finance, human resources, legal and internal IT. Management and supervision assistants within the teams are also key to the success of the projects through their involvement at all levels of the business.

Innovation, passion, teamwork and continuous improvement

When asked by a partner to give the reason for the success of his project, a client who had just finished implementing a large-scale installation of Systancia's software replied: "The men and women at Systancia".

Systancia operates a corporate model which combines passion and responsibility while striving to ensure the personal/work life balance which is so important to shared success.

The values we share with our staff are those of passion for our everyday work, a taste for innovation, a sense of teamwork and a constant desire to improve our industrial processes and methods.

Systancia has also implemented a wide-ranging programme to allow every staff member to reach his or her full potential:
- Options for fast-track promotion to managerial positions,
- Access to high-level training to improve personal skills,
- Openness to international careers at a Systancia subsidiary.

Every year, Systancia organises regular internal events, which are unique opportunities for teams to meet together, share experiences and also relax.

Innovation at the heart of our business

Systancia, which has been a partner of the French OSEO innovation support organisation, invests 25% of its expenditure every year on Research and Development, and this budget continues to grow to ensure that the company retains its innovative and competitive edge.

The goal of our research teams is to work in their own spheres of expertise to develop innovative, workable new solutions. These technological innovations, which are crucial to Systancia's competitiveness, play an active part in the successof the company. Listening to our clients' needs is every bit as important as creativity. Starting from the earliest development stage of our products, the R&D team works closely with the marketing team and staff working permanently on-site at our clients' premises.

Our Research & Development centre is located at our headquarters in Sausheim, near Mulhouse (Alsace). It is headed by Emmanuel Theotime, who answers directly to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Christophe Corne.

The required staff profile: IT engineer with a strong taste and curiosity for technology in all its forms. The skills needed by our staff: high-level languages (C++, C#, Java). A knowledge of system environments (Windows, Linux) is also one of the pillars shared by all our engineers; this skill area is frequently developed during the first few weeks of association with a team.

We recruit new staff either on completion of academic work placements or by direct recruitment. Work placements are paid, and are open to trainee engineers in their second year of higher education or university students (Master II). We take on work placement students throughout the year, with two main intakes (February and September).

Headquarters in Sausheim, near Mulhouse

Systancia has its headquarters and historic base in Sausheim, a few minutes away from Mulhouse town centre. The R&D and production departments are the main business divisions housed on this site.
Mulhouse is located at an international crossroads By road, air (international airport at Basel-Mulhouse) or rail (Mulhouse TGV high-speed railway station), the capital city of southern Alsace has direct links to major French and European towns.

Alsace, a region which is home to 1.7 million inhabitants in an area of welcoming proportions (190km long and 50km wide), is one of the most dynamic and prosperous regions in the whole of France.

Alsace can boast a variety of different landscapes; its geography consists of plains and hills, with higher terrain (the Vosges region) in which a wide range of mountain activities are possible. This variety has given rise to a rich variety of products from the Alsace soil.

In their own words

René G. is a project leader in Systancia's R&D department. The holder of a higher degree in information technology, he joined Systancia in 2008 and rose quickly to become a project leader working alongside the Director i/c R&D. His achievements include having been the architect of the desktop virtualisation component of recent software releases.
"My day-to-day work consists of working with a team of engineers on developing new functions in the field of what we call VDI (desktop virtualisation). This work is particularly interesting because here in R&D, we're designing and creating developments which will be delivered to Systancia's various clients. Our task is to combine innovation and vision with quality and stability in the final product."

Grégory M. has been working for more than two years on technical support for incoming requests (telephone/email) from clients and partners, in accordance with the goals he has been set. His technical skills enable him to provide in-depth technical analysis in finding solutions to the technical issues presented to him.
"My main responsibilities are to reply to clients' technical requests while at the same time remaining polite and professional. Interpreting our clients' requests remotely, without actually being able to see the technical environments they are describing, is a real challenge. Satisfying customer expectations calls for a constant supply of imagination and technological ingenuity.

Christophe C. is a sales engineer in the Large Accounts team. With a background in sales, he has held sales positions in companies in France and abroad, having worked as a software specialist at Dell before joining Systancia.
"In the Large Accounts team, I work with pre-sales engineers to demonstrate how the Systancia range can be successfully implemented on projects of sizes up to several tens of thousands of simultaneous users. I have a fair degree of autonomy in my work, but I value communication - particularly at the internal level - to improve my chances of success. The fact that we are promoting a software range which we created ourselves is a particularly motivating factor, even though it means that I have an even greater responsibility as a result."

Muhammet D. is a sales engineer in the Channel team. With a business school qualification, and having completed several "tours of duty" in the UK, Muhammet joined Systancia as a member of the on-site sales staff in 2007. With an in-depth knowledge of AppliDis products, Muhammet has been a Channel team sales engineer since March 2009.
"Working as part of a team consisting of a variety of profiles from technical pre-sales engineers to operational marketing, I manage a network of partners who are experts in the field of virtualisation. My day-to-day work consists of heading up thirty or so resellers from Strasbourg to Bordeaux, assisting them in their sales approaches to all business sectors (health, industrial, public). In this competitive marketplace, I find it particularly motivating to be working on projects from 50 to 10,000 users, offering long-term solutions via an in-depth relationship with my partners. "
