Systancia, VMware and Veeam panellists to discuss adoption and barriers of Virtualisation and Enterprise Cloud Computing

London, United Kingdom – 24 June 2010 – Systancia, a provider of desktop and application virtualisation solutions, has announced today that UK Sales Manager Andy Boyle will be joining a panel discussion alongside Andy Steven, Enterprise Cloud Architect at VMware and Ian Wells, Northern Europe Regional Director at Veeam at the Cloud Computing Conference held in London Olympia from 29 June to 1 July.   Entitled “Virtualisation and the future of cloud computing”, the panellists will discuss the main drivers and barriers to the adoption of Enterprise Cloud Computing.

Although not a new technology, Cloud Computing - in which the user can access the provider’s applications as a service - is a new IT approach made possible thanks to Virtualisation technology.  Andy and the panel will discuss the key trends driving adoption of the cloud  following recent predictions made by Forrester research that 3% of companies and 4% of SMBs are now using cloud computing. With the increasing demand for SaaS (Software as a Service) application and desktop virtualisation will become the key technological solution enabling data and application flexibility.

For companies exploring a Cloud strategy,  Systancia offers both application and desktop virtualisation solutions.  The company’s AppliDis Fusion 4 product was the first to offer a combined desktop/application virtualisation solution, while AppliDis MyApps was created to allow companies to easily create their own SaaS Cloud model, which can also include access to SaaS and PaaS (Platform as a Service). Systancia can offer solutions which are open and compatible with the market standards and with all types of Cloud: Public and Private.

Andy Boyle, UK Sales Manager for Systancia, commented, “As a newcomer to the UK market, we are extremely proud to be working alongside reputable companies such as VMware and Veaam.  With the popularity of cloud computing soaring, we feel that we are able to offer customers a viable solution from which they can easily create their own Private Cloud and reap all the benefits that this platform offers.”
