Systancia signs Getech as first UK distributor

London, UK, February 3rd, 2010 – Systancia, a provider of desktop and application virtualisation solutions, has appointed specialist thin client and server based computing distributor Getech to distribute its software in the UK and Ireland.

Since opening their UK office and launching their AppliDis 4 application and desktop virtualisation solution in December 2009, Systancia has recruited Getech to spearhead its push into the UK market place. Getech were chosen as the French-based company’s UK distribution partner of choice, due to their strong track record and established base of channel partners focused on thin client and server centric computing.

According to industry analysts IDC, the market for desktop virtualisation is set to reach $4 billion by 2011 from a base of around $2 billion in 2009. Systancia has already established a highly successful position in the French market, having recently won a number of significant deals against leading competitors, and is looking to replicate the success in the UK and other European markets. It has achieved a strong customer base in the Financial, Health, Education and Government markets in France due to its ability to drive down management costs by integrating management of both desktops and applications from a single console, whilst maintaining compatibility with all the leading hypervisors ((Hyper-V, ESX, ESXi, Virtualcenter).
